LIBERTY JOY
Look up Liberty in the dictionary
and you learn that it means "the quality or state of being free; the power to do
as one pleases; freedom from physical restraint." Look up Liberty on
www.RevtechRacing.com and I think you'd be quite pleased with the "definition"
you get. We are pleased to introduce Miss Liberty Joy and welcome her to the
Revtech Racing family. For the past few years this young lady has been
generating more and more buzz with her modeling and show appearances, even
getting some love from Dub Magazine to represent for them at HIN this year. Look
out for this North Jersey Pinay beauty to make some serious noise in the Import
Industry in the near future. Until then check out Liberty's online interview and
photo gallery exclusively brought to you by Revtech Racing.
RR: How and when did you get started modeling?
LJ: I started modeling with ImportTeknika and 5 StarOriginals at Hot Import
Nites Secaucus back in 2001. I was rejected by (Another well known NJ Team)
when I first attempted to model. Things happen for a reason
and that is why I stand where I am today. My first group that I felt
close to like family was Z00MxNYC and Revtech Racing. I met Jimmy, "T"
and Mark "H22" for the first time at our shoot. Mark's car was used in our
photographs and "T" was the photographer. It was a hot day in Liberty
State Park but the pictures were even hotter, thanks to the guys. From
that day on, I attended a handful of car shows and did some work on the
side. But all the thanks will go to my friends who supported me before
I even thought of modeling. My brother, Law, was the only one who got me
started by snapping some shots in our driveway. From there, I took fate
into my own hands and made things happen.
RR: Who would you say is/are your main influences?? Modeling or
in general.
LJ: One of my main influences is Aaliyah. She had a unique
look to her. The type where you could look at her for days and be
amazed with her timeless beauty. I admired her "steeze" and the vibes
she sent to her fans; everyone loved her. Her music had helped me
grow up into a confident and strong woman. Her beauty helped me mold
my own style on how I present myself today. Rest in Peace Baby Girl.
Now days, Kristen Kreuk is my main squeeze for influence. A lot of
people have said I resemble her in some photos. I didn't know who
she was until my little cousin in Canada was bragging to his friends
that "K.K." was his cousin, so I took a look and I was hooked into
liking her.
RR: Have you been approached by anyone in public that recognized you
from a show or site??
LJ: Even though I have never had a special feature in a particular
magazine. My photos from shows have shown up in several magazines and
on dozens of online sites. I had helped a lot of friends out by
volunteering my pictures everywhere possible. And I guess you can say
it helped me develop a bit of fame for myself. After two years of being
in shows, photographers and web designers already knew my name. My
networking skills improved and I was able to get myself special features
on import websites. I would be playing at the billiards with my cousin and have
guys
asking me if I was, "The Liberty Joy". It's so funny how they refer me
with such a noble title. They would be in disbelief for meeting me in
person. I never realized the big deal but to them, they were star
struck. The awe on their faces would definitely make me feel good.
Especially when guys stutter and vigorously shake my hand, thankful for
having a surprise encounter. I would be at a bunch of places and have
girls come up to me too. They would tell me that they admired my site,
say that I'm beautiful and confess for visiting my website everyday to
see what new work I've done. And the fan base has definitely grown from
day one. I always labeled myself as "Liberty Joy" and the name stuck
with me. I am still in denial for being known. But if you think about
it, my name is pretty catchy. Mind you, Liberty Joy is my God given
birth name. Hopefully one day, I will live up to my name. In
translation, "Free Happiness" No boundaries to eternal happiness shared
with everyone.

The list goes on and on. I cannot remember all of them right now.
But that's most of it.
RR: What do you feel is your most attractive feature??
LJ: Thanks to my trainer who got me started at the gym. I can now say my
legs are definitely my best asset to my look. It's the only feature that
I feel most confident with.
RR: What do other people think is your most attractive feature??
LJ: From the results of my workouts ever since October 2004 up to now. I am
most complimented on my abs and my legs. Not many Asian girls have
curvy legs because most of us are skinny and slender. But I used to run
varsity track and maintained my definition to make them the way they
are.
RR: Single or On Lock??
LJ: I am as single as a flower petal to its last breath before hitting the
ground. Yes, surprising isn't it?
RR: Favorite Car, Food, vacation spot, etc.
LJ: My favorite vacation spot is Cebu, Philippines. I loved it so much I
wanted to throw my passport in the ocean. It was close to being like
heaven. Even if I have never been to heaven yet, I must say, this is
like a heaven on earth. I can't handle spicy foods, but I am a dessert
queen. For those who have spent quality time with me, I look like the
type to not eat much, but I do. And my favorite car would be the
Mercedes SLR ($600,000). But to face reality, I would aim for the SL 600
($150,000 and up)
RR: Where can you be seen this upcoming season??
LJ: You may be able to catch me at the SEMA show in May 2005 and other shows
this summer. I am aiming for doing some shows on the west coast but
trying to find offers. Check me out on my new website coming out.

RR: Any special plans you got in the works??
LJ: I'm planning to relax this year and take it easy with the work. I'm
almost finished with this semester at school. Planning to travel and
enjoy life with the ones I care about most. And my main one is making
memories.
RR: Should we be looking for a website soon??
LJ: Like I mentioned earlier, I have my own site coming out.

patient with my indecisive self, Stefan for his undying love and support, my

Canare for designing my background layouts, Cousins Tin & Dianne, Lisa,

Marq & Jing, Jerome, Dustin, Msypace.com, Rich, Absolute 7, and all my

To anyone I didn't mention, you know I still love you!
RR: What do you like MOST about appearing at car shows?
LJ: Making new friends and signing autographs.
RR: What do you like LEAST about appearing at car shows?
LJ: The stress of packing and preparing the outfits for the show. But
everything else is all fun!
RR: Of all the things you own what 5 things can't you live without?
LJ:
1. R&B music
2. Family (Family could be everything from blood to close friends)
3. My insatiable dream to live like a hopeless romantic: You name it,
from the "Grand Gesture" to having a movie-like relationship, to having
the fairytale ending. Just wanting to be wanted back the same as I
would want that person... ::sigh::
4. Great food
5. Memories from experiences (past, present, and future)
RR: What 5 things can you say you are pretty much addicted to?
LJ: Excuse me for being blunt but I am addicted to:
1 R&B music
2 Working Out
3 Giving love, making love and being loved. *wink wink*
4 Alone time
5 Writing (If there were no more trees on this earth to make paper, I'd
write on the walls and my skin, I'm a huge addict to writing, can't you
tell?!)
RR: If stranded on an island...what 5 people would you chose to be stranded
with?
LJ: Just God and Me. For God is everything to me.
But if you really want to know who I'd bring, I would have to
ask...."Who wants to come with me?" Just think about it, anyone who volunteers
to be stranded on an island with me can come. Because if I name five
people on my own, I don't even know if they would even want to come with
me. They might get mad because they wouldn't want to go, haha! That
is why I say God because he is with me no matter where I end up at.
