With the passion progressively fostering as summer closely approaches, it was quite hard to resist the Import Xtreme Showdown. The name alone was simply tempting, appealing, alluring and yet irresistible to let pass. Nonetheless, the event transpired in Somerset, New Jersey on May 17th of 2003 and REVTECH RACING was in absolute attendance. The setting was rather sufficient and weather conditions that day appeared to be fairly on a down side with much rainfall. With much anticipation, the undersized crowd presented much eagerness and expectancy for a good show.
On an optimistic note for RR, Byron Garcia succeeded to win 1st place in the Mazda class with his MX-6. Furthermore, Paul Contangco managed to achieve 3rd place in the Toyota class with his ever-so popular turbo Celica. Other participants in the show included: Jamar Harris, Erik Dimayuga, Josh Nierman, Cyril de la Cruz, Richard de la Cruz, and lastly Irene Cornelio.
By and large, REVTECH RACING appeared to be relatively displeased at the overall assessment of Import Xtreme Showdown. Of the many reasons, the basis for this dissatisfaction evolved essentially around Erik and Richard’s involvement within the event. Erik’s vigorous, eye-catching, and Tuner M tuned Supra apparently remained unrecognized throughout the show. Essentially, it is well worth noting that Erik’s Supra should have, without a doubt, blown away any of the contendors competing in the class. There is entirely no hesitation of this truth.
In addition, Richard’s Nissan 240SX was somewhat unexpectedely disregarded throughout the show – even while in complete presence alongside his car. This error clearly did not put the judges in a favorable view. Moreover and overall, REVTECH RACING concedes that the Import Xtreme Showdown was inclusively inefficient and simply unproductive. Be that as it may, the season is unfolding and RR is definitely anticipating for greater miracle – so be sure to keep your eyes open at upcoming events…and don’t forget to sneak a glance at the rest of this site!
