It just
never feels quite right when the temperature is less than 50 degrees and you are
at the track. All that open space and flat land makes for some brutal wind
conditions, but hardcore racers and die-hard race fans were out in force on
November 3rd at Raceway Park to see the last official race of the season in the
North East area for import racing. Unfortunately, many who came to race were
turned away at the gate as the event was sold out by 8:00am. Judging by the
looks of things, the domestic boys must have planned this one out, since there
seemed to be about double the amount of Detroit Iron than Japan’s finest
high-tech hot rods.
REVTECH RACING was proudly represented by Marc Enriquez and his Nissan 300ZXTT.
Showing what it means to have dedication to the sport, Marc sacrificed sleep in
order to be at the track early enough to be one of the first people let in.
Various members of the crew including new comers Richard and Cyril De la Cruz,
who made their way from Queens, NY were disappointed to hear that there would be
no racing for them that day. The day would have been a waste had it not been for
Bill “BJ” Renkart, who came through as always and had a skybox arranged for
REVTECH RACING to hang out in and enjoy the races in warmth and with a fantastic
view to boot! Thanx again, “BJ”!! A special shout out also goes out to Matt from
ImportLife.tv for hanging out in the skybox with us, as well as Marz and Stan
from Classified Tuning for coming by with drinks. Z32Racing.com’s Arnel Labrado
was also in attendance showing love and enjoying the heat with us. And, as
always, Z00MxNYC was on hand, as they have been through the season with their
ever-present support and help. Thanks again Jimmy, Jerry, Frank and the crew!
As the 2002 Racing season draws to an end, we at REVTECH RACING want to extend
sincere thanks to all those individuals that showed support throughout the
season and we hope to see you all there again in the spring of 2003! BUT…just
because the racing and shows are over does not mean that we are done for the
year. Winter usually means “Party time” for REVTECH RACING, so lookout for
numerous collaborations between REVTECH RACING and Z00MxNYC at a club near you!
Club Rio in Woodbridge, NJ is up first – check us out on Friday November 15th
and see how we party as hard as we race!
