In only its second year, the Import Expression Car Show in the Nation’s Capital attracted over 200 of the regions hottest machines. Teams from Caroline to New Jersey came to compete for money and for respect. REVTECH RACING presented seven members at the show: Jamar Harris with his 1999 Volkswagon Passat, Matt Meehan with his 1994 Honda Accord, Marc Enriquez with is 1991 Nissan 300 ZXTT, Rod Guanzon with his 2000 Volkswagon Jetta VR6, Kimmy Johnson and her 2000 Honda Prelude, Kyle Richardson with his 2000 Honda Civic Si, and Jay Berands and his 1995 Volkswagon GTI. The DC Armory also showcased a number of domestic cars such as a Dodge Neon and Dodge Stratus representing the creativity of those in the domestic class. High performance cars dominated the show with an above average showing of cars such as the Acura NSX and RSX.

Along with the cars of course came the models and disc jockeys that add the character and competition to the car show. The DJs competed for nearly 10 hours and the winner of the competition will go on to the competition in Florida later this season. The models from the West coast added spice with their lap dance competition towards the middle of the show.

At the end of the day, the hottest car proved to be the Acura Integra owned by Jean Charles who took away a cash prize which made his efforts to attend worthwhile. With a BMW custom grill and horizontally hinged doors, his take on the Back to the Future classic earned him the title “Best in Show.”

These competitions showcase the ingenuity of Generation X, taking the car to the next level and achieving the unimaginable. With computer technology, advances in audio visual equipment and cutting edge performance upgrades, there seems to be no limit to what the cars of tomorrow will do. REVTECH RACING will compete at its next show on October 12, 2002 in Somerset, New Jersey where there promises to be an even larger showing. REVTECH RACING alone will present over 20 of its hottest cars.
