Mother Nature seemed to be in a bad mood the day before the Hot Import Nights Atlantic City show on June 15th. The drive down to the Atlantic City Convention center was quite a rain-soaked journey, but it didn't stop the hundreds of show participants from braving the weather in order to showcase their automotive works of art. Roll in was an exercise in patience for those showing their vehicles, as the amount of cars lined up to get in stretched around the Convention Center. The next day proved to be worth the wait as the sun finally broke through the clouds around 2:30 p.m. just in time for the start of the show. As spectator after spectator walked through the convention, it was evident that last years huge HIN show was no fluke and the people at Vision Entertainment had pulled off yet another awesome spectacle of cars lights, models and music.
REVTECH RACING was present and ready with 8 cars, 2 motorcycles, 7 models, and DJ Jun Love doing his thing all night long. Members from NYC to Maryland came in support wearing their blue REVTECH RACING shirts with pride. The crowd was enticed all night by the beautiful REVTECH RACING ladies, Sabrina, Jeannie Vieve, Laura, Judy, Cynthia, Jessica, and Renee. With the ladies posing and dancing for the crowd all night and DJ Jun playing the hits, it was only expected that REVTECH RACING would once again have one of the hottest booths with a ever present crowd taking photos and videos; overall enjoying the REVTECH vibe. Walking around the convention center, one noticed an awful lot of booths with DJ's and models... an idea that was pioneered last year by the combination of REVTECH RACING and ZOOMXNYC at last years HIN Atlantic City show. I guess like the saying goes, imitation is the best form of flattery!! It just goes to show REVTECH RACING and ZOOMXNYC's trendsetting abilities in this import scene.
Other notable highlights of the shoe are the debut of Mauricio "Lefty" Velasquez's Widebody Acura Integra GSR, complete with custom molded bodywork, air suspension, and interior goodies. Look out for this car as being a major competitor in the show scene. Look for a photo spread and article very soon. Grabbing attention from spectators all night long was Hugo Alvarez's PES TUNING built Volkswagen Passat with Upgraded PES TUNING turbo system and custom Sparco full interior including rear seats and door panels. The "Bagged" rides of Matt Meehan and Shawn Ryan kept people looking to see just how low they can go, while the elegant nitrous equipped IS 300 belonging to Eric Dimayuga froze all who walked near it with its custom trunk with TV's in the decklid. Paul Cotangco's Turbocharged Toyota Celica was on hand, as always, astounding all who looked at the engine bay. Look for a follow-up article on how the turbo monster came about. And last but certainly not least is the lone REVTECH RACING lady, Kim Little, who we are proud to announce took home BEST OF SHOW FEMALE with her Acura Integra GSR boasting custom body and interior, including shed door handles and enough ICE inside to keep any movie or video game junkie satisfied!! Congratulations, Kim, and keep up the good work! Kim also has a photospread and article in the works which will be coming very soon. Keep an eye out for these upcoming features as REVTECH RACING starts to come into it's own as a team to be reckoned with.
